Expert Staffing (713)856-7132 is currently seeking a Sr Instrument Electrical Project Engineer for the following position.

Leading Chemical Client (highly-engineered specialty chemicals and reported record net sales for 2006) is seeking a Sr. Instrument / Electrical Project Engineer with a minimum of 10 years of engineering experience in the chemical / petro-chemical industry and a minimum of 5 years of project management experience. The position is located in Pasadena, Texas, working in the Houston Area Engineering Group. Project Management Responsibilities: • Scope development, project estimation, project paper development, cost control and reporting • Procurement; project scheduling, change order review/control/ execution • Developing and writing applicable specifications. • Experience with SAP Project Module and other basic SAP transactions very desirable. Project Design Responsibilities: • Definitive engineering and design work • Liaison with vendors, contractors and maintenance • Instrument selection and specification ( level, pressure, temperature, flow, PSV & PSD, etc) • Control Systems selection, specification, programming and troubleshooting ( Honeywell DCS, Bailey, ABB, misc PLCs) • In-depth knowledge of Excel, Approach, Access, Word, AutoCAD • Proven general project and drawing management skills • Knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, NEC, etc Project Construction & Start-up Responsibilities: • Act as liaison with the sites construction coordinator, assisting with installation problems • Loop checking, equipment set-up, troubleshooting and assisting with start-up • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Excellent people skills - Customer focused • Ability to successfully work with all plant personnel Essential Qualifications: • Candidate will possess a Bachelors degree in Electrical or Chemical Engineering • Minimum 8 - 10 years experience as an I &E Engineer, preferably working as a project / design engineer.
